Our wedding was the reveal that we were actually having twins.
[ waves rumbling ] -The word "stillbirth" never came up ever once.
[water rushing] -I tried to wait it out because I didn't know the condition that I had.
♪♪♪♪ That was the difference between life and death.
♪♪♪♪ -Every year in this country, over 20,000 babies are born still.
So I spent the past seven years working on a piece of legislation.
Other countries have made stillbirth a national priority.
-Are you guys ready to go?
-We can do the exact same thing.
-Let's do this!
-She's kicking.
-You are the next generation of birth workers.
I am so grateful for the village that I have found.
[ Laughter ] We have the solutions to problems that we didn't create.
We're just hoping that we can see the bill make its way over the finish line.
This has to happen now.
